Posted by kcram3500 on Thu Nov 19 07:50:39 2020 This week, Bergen County Superior Court granted NJ Transit full eminent domain rights for the 56 acre property in Ridgefield Park to be used as the new bus garage and park/ride lot. As noted earlier this year, the garage will be designed to accommodate 500 buses, which means it will likely replace both Oradell and Fairview, as well as reduce (if not remove) tripper assistance from Market Street and Meadowlands. The new garage will also be prepared for the planned all-electric fleet with the necessary charging capacity.Big win for NJT and especially Oradell route passengers who have not been able to take advantage of 45-foot coaches except where Meadowlands already assists. |
