Remember the R8x in the 1980s, the only express bus not to go to Manhattan. It made two trips in the morning arriving from SI to the front of NYCTA headquarters at 370 Jay Street at 8 and 9 AM and departed at 4 and 5 PM to precisely coordinate with TA shifts. It was specifically designed to TA employees although anyone else could ride it. |
