As I’ve stated many times, the MTA is using the wrong parameters. The issue is how long it takes to make a trip, not how fast the bus travels. The two are very different. People are worse off is the bus saves two minutes, but it their trip takes four extra minutes to make.Also, the goal of the budget being neutral is also ridiculous. What company has ever made any money without making an investment? It’s not possible. They need to spend more money on providing more cost efficient service that increases patronage. The fact that paid patronage is constantly going down proves they are doing something incorrectly. |
