Here's one average weekday statistic. Actual Vehicle/Passenger Car Revenue Hours: 2,009. Actual Vehicle/Passenger Car Deadhead Hours: 1,524. At the end of the day, it cost about $200/hour to operate an MTA bus, whether in express or local service. Whether or not it's carrying passengers. |
