It has nothing to do with how long you’ve worked, but how much you’ve enjoyed your work. Because if it’s what you love to do, it isn’t work. Obviously, he doesn’t like what he is doing, because he is getting out at the first opportunity, at 55.When I first started at the MTA, I was in love with my job and couldn’t even imagine ever retiring and was picturing myself working into my eighties. But things changed rather quickly, and when I realized there was no chance of the agency ever changing, as soon as they offered the 25/55 plan, I immediately signed up and never regretted that decision. It’s great to be retired. |
