The traffic is too heavy for the rotaries I am familiar with. They should be traditional intersections with lights. They got put up because some Planner geek went to Europe and thought they were quaint, or were "traffic calming".Telling pedestrians to walk up 100' or so and back is ridiculous. It is bad enough for drivers having to look out in all directions for anything that moves. Compound that with pedestrians, hoping to catch the driver's eye is too much more distraction and too dangerous. |
