There are around 15,000 meters controlling over 80,000 metered spots.They are less noticeable than before because the individual meters were replaced with one or two per block machines that spit out receipts to put on your dash. They take credit cards as well as cash, and you can also pay for parking with a smartphone app. In parts of Manhattan the meters are for commercial parking only during much of the day. |
