I never gave any thought to taking a bus when I was in Paris. As I said before, I don't get the sense it is as critical within Paris itself as buses are in certain parts of New York City. I'd be interested in knowing about the ridership trends in other cities and understanding how the 1.3% decrease in Parisian bus ridership fits in to the larger picture of the transit network there before drawing any specific conclusions.Bus stops every 500 meters on average would still be further apart than the average stop spacing in NYC and many other US cities IINM. |
