I'd rather walk a little further to the bus if that means a faster trip once I get to the bus stop. The object should be reducing trip time - not vehicle traveling speed. There's a disconnect in NYC. Average NYC trip distance is rather short - only 2.1 miles. Dividing the trip distance by the average vehicle speed gives the average trip duration. NYC's average trip duration is already among the shortest in the US. |
