Re: W.B.'s Bus Almanac for February 18th

Posted by andy on Mon Feb 18 09:17:42 2019, in response to W.B.'s Bus Almanac for February 18th, posted by W.B. on Mon Feb 18 05:13:27 2019.

Along with sister East Side Omnibus Corp.'s three routes (York, 1st, 2nd Aves.), these three routes became NYC property in September 1948. All six (five after 1951 when 1st and 2nd Aves. became one route coincident with those avenues becoming one way traffic) routes were the Board of Transportation's Manhattan Bus Division. In 1953 the routes became the NYC Transit Authority's Manhattan Bus Division.

These six routes exchanged transfers with intersecting NYC Omnibus routes, and continued to do so until 1962.
