While I agree that in most cases neither marked nor unmarked police vehicle are above the law, they are also in essence ”emergency vehicles” and could be responding to an emergency situation like a crime in progress and not be able to search around for a legal spot to leave the car. It’s not always possible in such cases to distinguish between abuse of parking privileges and legitimate needs to illegally park so enforcement agents generally leave such vehicles alone. |
