Re: S.I. SIM schedules available on the GTFS site

If I read the spreadsheet correctly, it looks like there'll be a large gap in early morning service along Victory Blvd/South Gannon Ave.

1. It seems that the SIM 32 will have a span of service that's nearly identical to today's x11 (I guess that means they like the x11...). The first one will hit South Gannon at ~6:30 AM, the last one at ~ 8:45 AM (depending on your exact stop along there).

2. But they plan to run the SIM 4c only until about 5:20 AM!! In between, there will only be the SIM 33. So during that 1 hr, 10 minute period, if you need to get to the Bowling Green/Whitehall area, including a transfer to the 4/5 subway to Brooklyn, you're S-O-L

I guess (but I didn't check) that the SIM 4c will end so early as they plan to start the peak SIM 4 early. I used to live in New Springville- I don't remember what time the x17Astarted, but it was definitely later than the x17J.

Whatever the case, if they don't want to simultaneously run the SIM 4 and SIM4c, they need the SIM 33 and 32 to have nearly identical spans of service- just as the present x10B and x11 do.

For people who need the very south of downtown early-ish in the morning- whether they work on Bowling Green/Beaver St/Whitehall or need the subway to Brooklyn, it's a ridiculously long walk from West/Carlisle Sts.- all the more so in winter.

As for the folks who need Trinity/Rector and Church/Fulton, thy might do just ok (but not great) with West/Carlisle (real close to Rector) and West/Vesey (they can walk through the Oculus, protected from the elements.

But it's still dumb- if there's no SIM4c, run both the SIM 33 and the 32!!
