Re: W.B.'s Bus Almanac for May 24th

The 107, in its original iteration when launched in September 1962, was an odd duck. Its numbering was an extension of that used on Manhattan routes by Surface Transit; for part of its route (from 106th and Fifth Avenue to 110th and Riverside Drive), it travelled amongst routes of the old FACO Division; and initially it was administered by MaBSTOA as part of the NYCO Division (apparently these three nomenclatures were still used by MaBSTOA for internal purposes well into the early 1970's prior to the 1974 renumberings). For much if not all of its existence it was based out of 100th Street depot. As well, I saw on eBay 1972 bus passes which referred to the "Surface Transit Division," I suppose riding along Bronx routes or in certain areas of Manhattan served by ex-ST routes.
