North Shore Bus Co. had an extensive operation in Nassau County. They ran the N20 line from Flushing to Glen Cove, the N24 from Port Washington to Mineola. and the N22 from Mineola tom Hicksville. These routes were sold to Schenck Transportation in 1947, when NYC took over North Shore, as they were not permitted to operate in Nassau. These routes were originally trolley lines of the New York & North Shore Traction Co. North Shore also had some express bus routes from Nassau and Queens to Manhattan in the 1930's.
