How many people used, or even knew about, the paper transfer at Jay St. in its later years? There was only one booth at Broadway-Nassau that issued the tickets, and it had no sign on it indicating that it did. I'm guessing that few knew to ask. So if you wanted the Myrtle El from the Broadway-Nassau/Fulton St. complex, you took a train over the Williamsburg Bridge to Myrtle Ave. and changed there. I don't know if there was any signage at the Myrtle El stations where transfer tickets were available indicating their availability. Were tickets for the Jay St. transfer ever issued from machines like the ones that issued tickets at Franklin/Fulton? I thought they never were.
