Posted by W.B. on Wed Dec 6 04:39:04 2017

Another in a series of supplements to IRTRedbirdR33's "Tuscarora Almanacs"

December 6, 1951 - The Book of Route Adjustments

Manhattan, New York
New York City Omnibus Corporation

Amsterdam Avenue between 71st and 110th Streets is converted to one way northbound, and Columbus Avenue between 65th and 110th Streets is made one way southbound, completing a process for those two particular avenues begun three years and one month before. Changes to the following bus routes are put into effect as a result:
- 7 (Broadway, Columbus and Lenox Avenues): North of Columbus Circle, buses continue along Broadway to 71st Street, then travel north on Amsterdam Avenue to 106th Street
- 11 (Ninth and Amsterdam Avenues) - South of Amsterdam Avenue and 110th Street (Cathedral Parkway), buses run east on 110th Street and then south on Columbus Avenue to 65th Street and beyond.
