Re: Tuscarora Almanac for June 4

Posted by W.B. on Wed Nov 15 17:44:40 2017, in response to Tuscarora Almanac for June 4, posted by IRTRedbirdR33 on Sun Jun 4 10:37:11 2017.

I also saw a Hagstrom map of Manhattan bus routes put out in 1954. I know it's that year because they refer to NYCTA bus routes (as opposed to NYC Board of Transportation or even East Side Omnibus and Comprehensive Omnibus), and by then NYCO had swallowed up FACCo whose bus routes were now referred to as "Fifth Avenue Coach Routes of New York City Omnibus Corporation" (and NYCO's 8 and 9 routes no longer were listed). But what piqued me was that as they saw it, both M-13 and M-15 were running north on First and south on Second. If so, this was evidently before M-13 was repurposed, later that year, as the Journal Building shuttle, and M-15 became the sole nomenclature for the First and Second Avenues line.
