Tuscarora Almanac – August 17, 1940 – The Book of First and Last Runs

Union Railway Company

Buses replace streetcars on the TARS Rt. P – Pelham Bay Park Line. Buses service will be run by the Union Railway Company as the Bx-21 until July 1, 1942 when Surface Transportation will take over.

Third Avenue Transit Corporation

The 149th Street Streetcar line is converted to bus operation. Trolley service had been run by the Third Avenue Transit Corporation. Bus service will be provided by the Surface Transportation Corporation as the Bx-30.
