They are missing, even if the police respond on the spot.I was hit by a car while on my bike. Police and and ambulance were summoned. An MV form was filled out. I had to go to the police precinct, with $10 in check or money order (no cash), to get a copy of the report. I checked the crash data from NYPD. My crash never appeared in the statistics. Generally, hospital records provide are more complete for serious injuries than police reports. This is also true in Sweden. |
