Between 1972 and 1974, the Elmhurst #16 (later Q89) was designated QM16, and the Fifth Avenue-Jackson Heights #15 (later M32, now Q32) was designated QM15. The 'QM16' designation was odd given that in no part of Manhattan did the line travel - but it, like the QM15/M32, was assigned out of 54th Street depot in Manhattan. A few pics with QM15 designation signs on the front have turned up; we've yet to see any QM16's (let alone pics of Q89's).

Those nomenclatures ended up duplicative of two Green Bus Lines express routes to Manhattan (now under MTA Bus aegis) - QM15 out of Woodhaven/Lindenwood, and QM16 out of Neponsit/Far Rockaway.
