The Brooklyn Eagle page, with the article and accompanying photo, comes up nicely. Hard to imagine that they ever allowed horse-drawn vehicles on the GWB!Under the photo of the squad of 84 bridge policemen "rehearsing" is a an article on a very different subject, with a headline that no one would ever dare to print today: "Too Many Survivors; Human Race Weaker" |
