I understand your point that often ridership is not representative of demand but rather a result of the lack of service provided to a point. That I get.But what I don't get is why it's necessary for you to have a one-seat ride to 14th Street. I have lived in the suburban-like sections of Brooklyn and Queens (BM and QM territory), so within NYC and closer in distance than Eltingville, but have never had a one-seat ride to 14th Street, and never felt that I should have one. If I really needed 14th Street, I would probably use an FDR express to 23rd and take the subway down a stop. |
