Buses are not sacred.One bus is typically carrying more people than all the cars in the travelling lane between it and the previous intersection. City & express buses absolutely should have priority. Note: I would not extend this to tour or intercity buses (such as Chinatown types, Megabus, etc), since they have to pull out of a stop so infrequently that it isn't as much of an inconvenience for the passengers aboard. Also in the case of Chinatown buses, cars present in the lane are never considered an obstacle anyway :). |
