I take my grandmother every so often to Aqueduct (leave the woman in front of a slot machine for a few hours and she's as happy as a pig in slop).Last time we were there when the horses were actually running* I wandered over to the other side of the building to bet on a race and it was actually fairly crowded. Without OTB, it seems some of these guys have actually returned to the tracks. *weirdly it was during a snow storm. I still have the video of the horse losing badly on my old phone. Mayor Wilhelm's backers through a high holy fit over horses pulling a carriage on a nice day, but racing in snow, that's fine.... |
