The thing is Manhattan traffic is very unpredictable.Sometimes you expect traffic and there is none but most of the time there is traffic when you least expect it which is why I try to avoid bringing my car into Manhattan at any time. Saturday afternoon it took me 45 minutes to get across Manhattan on Houston Street and one time I went across 60th Street (or one of the parallel streets) from First Avenue to Sixth Avenue in about four minutes at 6 PM during the evening rush hour. I was also stuck on a single block on Second Avenue on a Saturday night at 9 PM for 45 minutes near the Queensboro Bridge. Go figure. |
