And I heard from a fellow transit fan, and DC area native who rode 4000. He was curious but didn't know the story for years, and connected the dots years later with message board posts.WMATA painted 4000 in their color scheme, but they retained NYCTA's #4000. The bus also retained NYCTA's perimeter style seating. |
