Not by any bus company or DOT rule but by religious custom. Someone once posted on the old board, that if someone, who is not familiar with the custom, sits in the "wrong" section, the driver cannot and will not say anything. Usually one of the male passengers will explain the custom to the new rider and request they change their seat.I am not religious but believe that if the request is not followed then all the passengers on that side of the bus will get up and stand in the back of the bus. |
