Okay, I just saw Spider Pig's New York Times article.Remember, we are talking over 30 years ago, and I am doing this by memory alone. So here are the possibilities: I had a second interview in 1986 that I do not recall where I mentioned the idea the the head of OP or I was incorrect and the renumbering began two years after I suggested it and not three weeks later as I previously stated. However, none of that changes the basic points: a letter of mine was published by the New York Times (I believe the date was it was on July 22 or 30, 1974.) where I first mentioned the idea, and the MTA implemented it after I verbally told it to them and they told me they would not do it because it was not a good idea. And this entire discussion started because Terrapin stated the NY Times prints letters by idiots and I responded if that is the case, then the MTA was also be idiots for accepting the idea and no one believes it was a bad idea. So all your effortsto discredit my basic point has not worked, although some of the details may have been incorrect. A liar is someone who willfully mistates facts, not someone who unintentionally makes a mistake and admits it when he is proven wrong. |
