Under these changes, the crosstown M 106 which runs along 42d Street will be renamed M42 and will loop around the Convention Center at the western end of its route.

The crosstown M-16 will travel westbound on 34th Street to Eighth Avenue, then north to 42d Street and west to the Hudson River. It will return on 42d Street to Ninth Avenue, then south to 34th Street and then east. A new line, the M34 will travel the eastern portion of the M16, but will continue down 34th Street to the convention center and return east on 34th Street.
