There is only a single lane except for a right turn queue lane that outside of rush hours only holds about three cars. So if six cars need to make a right turn as was the case, there was spill back from the right turn lane into the general traffic lane which was green. By the time all six cars were able to turn right, the signal had changed to red. Now if there is a problem at 12:30 AM, I can imagine what happens at 3 PM.There is No Standing from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. that provides space for about 10 cars to stack in the right turn lane at 3:00 p.m. Farther up Parkside, there's No Standing from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. that allows cars to stack all the way back to Flatbush during the p.m. peak. |
