Buses will no longer wear titles however, and will only feature the MTA logo.This is bad and contrary to the public interest. If a bus hits and injures a person, how is that person to know what bus company is responsible in a lawsuit? The potential is that a seriously-injured person will sue the New York City Transit Authority, and only after the statute of limitations has expired will it become known that the bus was being operated by MTA Bus Company. This practice would defeat the very reason for the legal lettering on buses. |
