"No I am not saying that the majority of road users should make it a runway with no trees. You are just making up lies. The road presently has plenty of trees not not a single automobile user or anyone else fir that matter has suggested to destroy those mature trees except DOT that wants them all taken down and replaced with one year old trees. Similarly no one has suggested getting rid of existing medians and a lane of parking. MORE LIES FROM YOU!"
He is making a metaphor. It is quite an apt one, and considering how personally you are taking it, I suspect you realize that.

"Also no one have made a case that these so called improvements would attract any meaningful number of new riders."
Actually, many people have. You just keep on ignoring it.

"Most SBS routes have been losing riders not attracting new ones."
Blatantly false when you isolate the effect of the SBS conversion.

"What I have been saying is that any improvement should not inconvenience more than are being helped."
Exactly! Which is why Woodhaven SBS is a great project. It helps lots of people and hurts so few that they are statistically nonexistent!
"When you add up the number of people whose trips will take longer"
Near zero
"tines the number of minutes longer,"
Again near zero
"it will be much greater than the number of people whose trips will be shortened when you consider door to door travel not only the number of minutes buses will save.
No. 0*0>N is false, assuming N is positive, which it will be. N also won't be small.

"What is being proposed is just poor planning in both a democracy and in a republic because more aggregate minutes will be lost than will be saved."
No. Even if bus riders saved NO TIME AT ALL, it would be a good plan because AUTO RIDERS WILL SAVE TIME!
