Of course it is more dangerous for your *car*, but that is irrelevant. It is safer for your wallet to make the illegal turn. The number of accidents caused by right turning from the second lane pales in comparison to the number of driving in the bus lane tickets.What I am trying to illustrate is that the law is backwards in this case. Either get rid of the photo enforcement so that context can be taken into consideration (by an actual cop issuing an actual ticket), or reduce the fine to something more reasonable than $115. |
