For that trip, I got on at what's now Walgreens at Teaneck Road and State Street (was a supermarket back then), and got off on the first block of Forest Avenue where the 78/178 turns off Teaneck Road.Also, that was an overlapping zone situation on the 78 - the boundary was officially Teaneck Road and State Street as it is now, but if you got on in Teaneck, it was considered one zone if you got off in Teaneck. So I could ride from Teaneck & Forest over to my doctor's office on River Road for a one-zone fare... but Hackensack was a two-zone trip. |
