Posted by caine515 on Sat Jun 27 11:18:08 2015 Just heard this from a driver on the Q69 yesterday afternoon. It seems that the XD-40 Xcelsior buses assigned to LGA will begin to arrive on Monday 6/29/15. Granted, #7238 is at the depot BUT is still in training and isn't in active service.Now before you get excited the buses will arrive beginning Monday but they wont see service till mid week at the earliest. I'm guessing they won't see service until after July 4. It's unknown on what routes they will pop up on first(I'm guessing not the Q70 as buses assigned there have luggage racks). It's unknown what NOVABUS models will be removed first. Will they do the 8700's first and go in order or take the worst condition ones out. It is known..at least what I've heard is LGA isn't getting rid of all their NOVABUS at once. Figured I'd let you guys know what I've heard. |
