You'll be very lucky to catch some Orion Vs since they are on their last wheels. Check out the various New Flyer models; C40-LF, C40-LFR, DE40-LF, D40LFR, BRT DE42LF, BRT DE37LF, BRT DE62LF and of course Xcelsiors 40 foot Hybrids with BAE & Allison propulsion. At Union Station you'll catch some 30 ft Orion 7 CNG 1st Gen and quite possibly a 30 ft Orion 7 3rd Gen hybrid or diesel.

Let's see, you also have Neoplan AN60 artic standard floor buses, NABI BRT 60 CNG artics, brand spanking *new NABI BRT 42LF Hybrids and 40 foot Orion 7 CNG 1st Gen models roaming. WMATA bus fleet is a mixture of Hybrid-Electric and CNG with very little Diesel Orion Vs and O7s 3rd gen diesels and Neoplan AN60 artic standard floors as fore mentioned. I don't have specific locations to where you spot the variety of buses...you know, why not try Silver Spring Station. That's one busy hub with WMATA buses, Ride-On buses and Prince George Buses. The CBD( Central Business District) is always a good area for buses. The Alexander city where the Pentagon is at are mostly CNG Orions roaming if I'm not mistaken. Don't be surprise if you catch Maryland's(Baltimore) commuter MCI buses roaming around over the weekend, but I don't their schedule for sure.

Oh, by the way all their Xcelsiors and New Flyer D40LFRs have rear windows.

Have fun and enjoy your trip in D.C. I too must make a point to visit D.C.sometime in the spring or summer
