FALSE. My 96-year-old mom uses it regularly. She is always left to get in and out on her own, even though she is clearly old and has a hard time walking. At times, she has been left waiting up to 90 minutes on a windy street corner for a pickup. And the GPS can't substitute for street smarts. She knows her way around Astoria and suggests the fastest route. They aways ignore her and use GPS, which, for instance, means they insist on driving down Steinway St. to get to the Queensboro Bridge. That is the most congested street in Queens. They also get totally confused by unusual addresses, like Fort Totten or certain buildings within JFK Airport. They truly suck. |
