There really should be the concept of a free transfer Metrocard turnstiles.This idea would be great to allow passengers to swipe exit at Hewes Street on the [J] and the swipe-in as a transfer on the [G] train down below. In Staten Island, you start your trip on a S.I. bus, then transfer to the ferry, which should just give "OK" but not deduct a fare, so you could continue in Manhattan on a train or bus. |
