You have to consider that there's already several routes that cover Flushing-Jamaica (Q17, Q20/Q44, Q25/34, Q65), but only one of those goes up into The Bronx (that route, of course being the Q44). By splitting the route at Flushing you're making it harder to travel between the Bronx, and areas south of Flushing.

I think easier Bronx-Jamaica access is more important than Queens-Fordham access (and definitely more important than extending it any further west of there), so any proposal involving splitting it at Flushing in order to extend it in The Bronx, I'd have to disagree with.

Now, the question is what should cover the local stops alongside the CBX. The Bx9 is long enough as is. You could create a local version of the Q44, but unless you run the local all the way to Flushing, the local won't have too many ridership generators. Maybe something going to Throgs Neck might work (at least it connects more residential areas to the 6). But where could it be routed without duplicating the Bx8/40/42?
