After taking the BOSS, you have to wait 1-3 months to receive either an acceptance letter or a disqualification letter.

If you receive a disqualification letter, that's the end of your progress for exam 2613. However, you can reapply for the bus operator position in any MTA bus division, such as exam 4600 (bus operator for NYC Transit), which the MTA is taking applications right now.

If you receive an acceptance letter, then you'll progress onward. The next letter you'll receive after that are a letter and a pre-employment application. The letter tells you a specific time and date to come down to their employment center at 180 Livingston St., 5th floor for a drug test. The pre-employment application that comes with the letter lists certain items that you need to bring with you and to fill out all of your information.
