I think they need to consider extending the Q33 over to Ditmars Blvd and 102 Street. It would give riders a direct transfer over to the Q23 and Q48 and easier access to the hotels along Ditmars Blvd as well. I think that the Q48 should enter LGA Airport using 94 Street. It should go around the traffic circle and onto 23 Avenue to 94 Street. They could add a bus stop in the westbound direction of 23 Avenue and 97 or 98 Street. Make a right on 94 Street and enter the Airport just like all of the other buses do. It does not serve the American Airlines stop via the current route. It makes an unnecessary loop. Flushing Bound Q48s would remain unchanged.
I would have the Q33 go straight along 23 Avenue to the traffic circle. Make a left and have the first and last stop on Ditmars Blvd between 100-102 Street. By doing this, the drivers would have a legitimate layover spot. Not only that but they could interline the Q33 with the Q23 if they want to.
There's no layover spot on 95 Street and Ditmars Blvd where they are currently proposing the route to go to.
I think by doing this not only better serves the community better but it also keeps the route as much as in sync as it is for the exception of entering and leaving the airport.
