(1) There aren't enough spare buses or enough spare drivers (all of whom must be on overtime) to cover everything that's needed. (2) One weekend isn't enough time to assemble a special shuttle pick and present it to the unions for a multi-week review period prior to implementation. (3) It's MTA Bus Company, so all of the money is coming from New York City taxpayers rather than Connecticut taxpayers. |
