Wow, time of your rest stops overall take four hours?

In my experiences rest stops add a half a hour to 45 minutes to the trip time at most.

The drive is reasonable if you have two drivers, its tedious for one person make that drive though.

If its one person best to time it where you end up between DC and Richmond around 9 - 10 PM, get some shut eye at a hotel and continue the rest of the trip to NC the next day.

DC is like the halfway point but I - 95 kinda bypasses DC lol, if one is not familar with DC its hard to find your way back to I - 95 from New York Ave?... you know, that road that takes you to DC from 95 South and when you get closer to the City Amtrak's Ivy City Yard is on the right hand side.

Out in the country, much easier to hop back on the highway.
