What they fail to mention is-under Veolia, when a driver breaks a mirror on a tree branch or sign,or any other minor collision with a fixed object,it's classified as an incident rather than accident. Drivers aren't even being taken out of service for drug & alcohol testing(probably due to the expense involved). With the MTA,all such occurences were reported as accidents. This is why the figures are so distorted in Veolia's favor. |
