I'm starting to think a little differently now. Adam's right...you will be taking away riders from 86th Street and putting them onto the B1 and B16, just two bus lines versus four or five depending on the time of the day. And with the B16 somewhat of an "unreliable" line (I speak from experience), then people will just rush for the bus they see first, the B1, which is already bursting at the seams as it is.

I feel that since the Staten Island buses already have Bus Time, then passengers can better predict when the S53/79/93 would arrive along Fourth Avenue by tracking any of the bus lines compared to the (R) train, which relies on solely the schedule.
