"I could not use the Metrocard machine to just transfer the money from the old card to the new one, as it would not accept a "0.00" amount to add, so I went to the station agent and she gave me a new card."I thing you can transfer value from an expired card to a new card at a machine without adding value. You tell the machine you're going to add value. When you insert the expired card it asks if you want a new card, but doesn't make you add the value. |
