From my few detours into the airport, I can tell you the workers hate the setup. I have overhear several airport workers complain and are very concern during climate weather. I have not been there (don't want to be there for bad rainy or snowy days. For me I like the idea now that the Q 10 shares the same terminal with the Q 3 and B 15 instead of walking back or forth to these buses.

In regards to mass transit coverage to/from the airport. I would have to say it is underutilized. There is no longer direct bus service from LI to the Airport, now that the low ridership JFK FLyer is gone, but I still think there was potential if given the right route. In terms of Queens to JFK. Here is what I think should happen

1) The Q 6 should have been the direct bus from Jamaica to JFK - Leffers Blvd Terminal via the Cargo Area.

2) Q3 should be the direct bus to the postal via Farmers Blvd and then following the Q 6 route east of North Boundry Rd.

3) A combine Q 76/77 route extended to JFK Central terminal via Conduit Blvd/Farmers Blvd/and following the Q 3 route southwest of Farmers Blvd. Why? To provide NE/ SE Queens a direct route to the airport.

* I left the Q 7 out because I think that route can be rerouted to Green Acres, don't you think?

In terms of Brooklyn/ Staten Island access to the airport, it is extremely poor in southern Brooklyn. Despite the fact that the B 15 does connect passengers to crosstown Brooklyn routes, B 6, B 8, B 35; it does take much longer for Staten Islander or even a Southwest Brooklyn rider to get to the airport compare to someone who is coming from Upper Manhattan. A new crosstown SBS or limited routes should be created to conenct Bay Ridge to JFK Airport, bad news is how would you route it (probably utilizing Linden Blvd, Flatlands Av, Kings Hwy, and Av P) and how would it be funded.
