That's impressive. I was in NYC in June 1994, and I saw a Grumman operating for JBL, but I had no idea that they lasted that long afterwards (I did not see any during my 1999 visit).

By comparison, SCRTD got rid of their last ones in mid-1993, though the disposition started around 1989 or 1990. Around mid-1990, RTD sold 9 Grummans to Gardena Municipal Bus Lines, who used them solely for school trippers. They lasted at Gardena until 1995. Santa Monica got rid of their 1979 Grummans fairly quickly (mid-80s), but their 1981 models lasted until the early 90s. Orange County had some from 1978 and disposed of theirs fairly quickly as well (saw one used in an episode of "Hunter" around 1987 or 1988, another one (or the same one?) was parked behind the Scientology building on Hollywood Blvd for years.
