The "Blitz" fishbowls were numbered as follows:1966: 5000-5022 1968: 5100-5134 - local; 5135-5159 express 1971: 5200-5284 1972: 5300-5404 1973: 5500-5527 - local; 5528-5576 express FYI, it was 5567 that had that mishap on the VZ. I have a slide of it currently for sale on ebay (my ebay ID is nhrrlives) of it in the back of Walnut Base Shop after the mishap. The rear axle was missing and the rear end was sitting on jack stands. I will be doing the next Urban Transit Club show on July 14. I plan to include that shot in the show as well as many other vintage NYC buses and subways. More details on the club website at www.utcny.org There was one other fishbowl bus that got the rubber bumpers like the Blitz rebuilds (6957), which was sold with #6000 to a bus collector in California. |
