The others were inspected and those that were saved did not have corrosion in the wheel well like the incident bus had.I don't know the mindset of NYCT, but I'm sure SI'ers were not happy riding old express buses even before that incident. That incident certainly gave the buses a bad reputation and I doubt if any of them ever wanted to ride in one of them again. IDK if all Blitz buses were pulled out of SI, but I doubt if passengers in other boroughs knew of the incident. Just a hunch. |
